Public Relations Manager Position - Full-Time

CornerPost Marketing, an agriculture industry marketing and PR agency based in Iowa, is looking for an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive public relations strategies for our current and future client roster.

As the Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of compelling and impactful content that effectively communicates our clients' brand narratives to target audiences. You will play a pivotal role in managing diverse programs, ensuring their seamless execution, and guaranteeing their alignment with our clients' overarching business objectives. Additionally, you will be instrumental in driving business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand our client base, and nurturing enduring partnerships with both existing and prospective clients, as well as your own networks.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and possess exceptional organizational skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving. A genuine passion for both marketing/PR and the agriculture sector is crucial. You must demonstrate outstanding proficiency in relationship building, adeptly navigating complex client dynamics while working with our team to deliver exceptional results consistently.

Duties & Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)
  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies for agribusiness clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging and impactful content to effectively communicate clients' brand narratives to target audiences, while ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Manage diverse PR programs, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of results in line with client expectations.
  • Monitor the quality of content and PR efforts, conducting regular assessments to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage diverse PR program and initiatives, such as young farmer leadership initiatives, fostering engagement and growth within the agricultural community.
  • Utilize your knowledge of programming and PR, and create new business development opportunities with current and potential clients
  • Drive business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand the client base and foster enduring partnerships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, navigating complex dynamics with finesse and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in relationship building and strategic problem-solving.
  • Represent the agency at industry events and meetings, establishing a strong presence and fostering new connections. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing and PR efforts.
  • Conducts themselves as an ambassador of CornerPost values and culture 
  • Actively engage in the information-seeking and team-support-focused culture of CornerPost
Client Relations:
  • Builds solid relationships with clients to ensure transparent feedback and successful partnerships
  • Ensures and owns client satisfaction and actively works on solutions and improvements to better business
  • Having a strong sixth sense of “reading the room” to anticipate clients needs and expectations while fostering a relationship.
  • Works with project managers and creative managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation for team
Network Management:
  • Leverage professional networks and in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry to drive transformative PR strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the PR sector.
  • Builds solid relationships with clients to ensure transparent feedback and successful partnerships
  • Ensures and owns client satisfaction and actively works on solutions and improvements to better business
  • Having a strong sixth sense of “reading the room” to anticipate clients needs and expectations while fostering a relationship.
  • Works with project managers and creative managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation for team

Work location and travel requirements:
This position is offered as a remote position, allowing the position to fulfill duties where best possible. This will at times require being present at internal, external, and industry attendance.
