Account Manager - Full-Time


CornerPost Marketing, a leading agriculture industry marketing and PR agency based in Iowa, is seeking a talented and driven Account Manager to join their growing team and direct the creative marketing strategy and programs for industry-leading agribusiness clients, while actively contributing to the business development initiatives of the company.

The Account Manager will lead the development and strategic direction of programs for clients, showcasing proven expertise in all aspects of account management and demonstrating a keen focus on driving business growth with both existing and prospective clients. This role will involve identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, fostering enduring partnerships, and maximizing the agency's revenue potential within the agriculture industry. The successful candidate will excel at nurturing delicate client relationships while motivating the team to deliver exceptional results that contribute to the agency's overall success and expansion.

Duties & Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)
  • Foster trusted client partnerships and ensure satisfaction is not only met but exceeded on a daily basis.
  • Steer the team to ensure all projects are always delivered on time, on budget and at the highest quality with an indispensable brand strategy.
  • Drive value through highly strategic and trusted client relationships - acting as the internal team’s catalyst for award-winning creative, innovative solutions, and client services.
  • Define client strategy and vision for new and existing projects, including writing briefs and facilitating planning meetings when applicable.
  • Drive and support clear communication between internal account management & creative teams (content, design, digital, etc) to ensure overall efficiency.
  • Continually evaluate current strategies and scope of services for client accounts to seek where growth and/or improvements can be made, while also recognizing new opportunities to grow client accounts.
  • Executes client brand strategy and extends guidance to internal account and creative teams to fulfill the programs and campaigns that support it.
  • Cultivates and maintains a unique wide network of valuable relationships (clients, thought leaders, industry reps) that can significantly help strengthen the agency's network.
  • Actively cultivate and expand a robust network of industry contacts, fostering strategic partnerships and identifying potential business opportunities to foster sustainable growth and diversification within the agriculture sector.
  • Continually research and analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to identify emerging opportunities and develop proactive strategies that position the agency as a key player in the evolving agribusiness market, both regionally and nationally.
  • Proactively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the agency's services, build brand visibility, and cultivate new business relationships that contribute to the agency's ongoing success and market expansion.
  • Conducts themselves as an ambassador of CornerPost values and culture 
Client Relations:
  • Builds solid relationships with clients to ensure transparent feedback and successful partnerships
  • Ensures and owns client satisfaction and actively works on solutions and improvements to better business
  • Having a strong sixth sense of “reading the room” to anticipate clients needs and expectations while fostering a relationship.
  • Works with project managers and creative managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation for team
Client Management:
  • Provides routine and valuable communication- including meetings, emails, calls and reporting
  • Supports internal teams in daily management and execution of multiple clients’ marketing and communication programs and projects
  • May include onsite visits and travel to clients or industry events
  • Coordinates the creative strategy, implementation, planning of client projects and brand strategies
  • May include leading internal teams and outside services or contractors
  • Facilitate and schedule meetings internally and with clients
  • Administrative duties such as reports, project documentation, client billing, emails and phone calls
  • Remain detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to support internal teams, delegate tasks, manage production, and assist with general account administration including budgeting and billing
  • Effectively execute marketing and public relations skills and tasks to complete projects which may include, but not limited to: writing, designing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, event planning and website management
  • Proactively develops and owns forecast, revenue, overages, profitability, and growth of client business/accounts Provide oversight and management of project fulfillment via project management software
  • Travel: Some travel will be necessary for projects, client meetings and events. Mileage will be reimbursed at the regulated rate. Other travel costs are normally covered by the employer.

Work location and travel requirements:
This position is offered as a remote position, allowing the position to fulfill duties where best possible. This will at times require being present at internal, external, and industry attendance.
